Terrible news. The Eagles are my favorite group.

I think I'm going to watch the Farewell Tour DVD set and get shite faced.

RIP Glenn

First Lemmy, then Bowie, & now Glenn Frey. If I am a hugely influential rock star who started in the late 60-early 70's I am scared right now......

RIP to a Detroit boy. Any of you that haven't seen it should watch the Showtime documentary History of the Eagles.

Which Farewell Tour? The concert video at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne is the best. I'm with you, man.

Thats a pretty fantastic concert. I have a special place in my heart for the Hell Freezes Over concert though.

Yeah, Hell Freezes Over was so exciting because they were back together. I'm just grateful they came back and did some more concerts and albums, and made the documentary.

I think Bowie is the bigger icon of course, but i didn't grow up on him. I had to discover his music when I was teenager

Growing up listening to Hotel California on the beach with my dad is something I did do though. Why this one hits closer to home

RIP Glenn

When I learned to play and sing "Peaceful Easy Feeling" around 1979 I realized what a powerful tool playing music can be in motivating a female to remove her outer and under wear. Better than just putting on a Dan Fogelberg album, which worked pretty damned good.

When I was sitting in the Century Link Center for the final stop of The History of the Eagles tour the final song was "Desperado." I thought to myself "You'd better appreciate this because this might be the last song performed in public by the Eagles." I wasn't thinking "untimely death" necessarily.
