Chris Gaines should open for Garth Brooks on a nationwide tour.

Would be a sellout machine.

This has Walmart Exclusive written all over it.

ETA: I guess I should've opened the link.

Ol GB is just quietly getting his name back out there. Saw his show in Vegas three times and he took my request of Lonesome Dove once due to my Mo Betta shirt from the front row.

His cover stuff is fun, especially the James Taylor and Seger stuff. Excited to hear his Strait, Jones, Haggard and Skaggs on the old country disc.

He will have his whole new album ready for his tour that will kick off next summer after his last daughter graduates. Will be a sellout machine at $25 a ticket

After seeing his Vegas show last month, I'll definitely be buying this box set. I think it will be worth the $.

I loved when he covered the old R&B and soul songs at the concert.

Yeah he has traditionally been known for his cheap full band arena shows. Saw him in Kansas City at $25 and then the tribute shows in Nashville were $25 a pop all over

I know this will sound oxymoronic, but a couple of years ago a friend played a song that I liked, and she told me "it was Chris Gaines." I only heard it once. Any suggestion as to what the one and only good Chris Gaines song was?

It was likely either "lost in you" or "it don't matter to the sun". Those where two popular ones on that cd good songs too
