How do you all feel about Pat Metheny? Trying to discover some of his music and get into it.

Good stuff. Check out Jim Hall (more traditional Jazz) and Michael Hedges if you like Pat Metheny.

Great talent. Music is okay. Not exactly a purist.

Take a listen to this album-good stuff.

We saw him and this band in concert a couple of years ago in Houston and it was a killer concert.

Bright Size Life with Jaco is my favorite.

He has some great stuff in his catalogue. Recommendation to check out Jim Hall is legit too. He has a good one with Bill Evans.

He's a great talent, but not my preferred style. As far as jazz guitar goes, it's Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, and Kenny Burrell for me. Most everything after 1969 is either rock, fusion, or straight blues.

Jim Hall has a couple of great ones with Bill Evans. Undercurrent, and Intermodulation. Both are essential recordings, in my opinion.
