Supposedly Firehouse is still pretty big in Japan so it's not surprising they are in better shape than most of that era.

There was a festival show up here in Wisconsin with Eric Martin/Firehouse/Warrant/Lita Ford/Quiet Riot last weekend. Eric Martin did a set then all the other bands bailed after they realized they weren't getting paid. Read this if you want a good laugh.

Had a chance to meet George Lynch and hear him play a private solo session at 3docs in Ruston. He was awesome and he played that tiger stripe guitar of his. Dude can shred

But after hearing that no talent arse clown Don Dokken destroy the opening song, I couldn't hang around.

So... Don Dokken destroyed his own song?

Don Dokken was/is/always will be terrible. I was eagerly anticipating seeing the guitarist. I've always been a George Lynch fan and wanted to see the newer guy. But after hearing that no talent arse clown Don Dokken destroy the opening song, I couldn't hang around. They should cease touring immediately

don't agree that don was terrible. back and listen to the first four dokken records and his solo record---up from the ashes.
his voice wasn't as strong as geoff tate, rob halford, tony harnell, etc. but he could sing and has always been able to bring in great guitarists.
he's a decent guitarist as well.
after years of heavy smoking and drinking, his voice is wrecked.
never cared for his stage presence or stage banter.

Tooth And Nail is one of the best 80s metal albums and still holds up damn well.

But I saw Firehouse/Warrant (with Trixter) at the Cajundome in 1991 and I felt like going back in time for a few hours.

I went to that show as well. I caught the drumstick the Trixter drummer threw in the crowd. Also had a "Cherry Pie" shirt from the show I wore for years after.

Finest memory? A week after that show I bought Alice in Chains' Facelift...LOL

After that, cock rock was dead to me for a few years.

Did you see LA Roxx at the show last weekend?

around 2001, my GF (at the time) took me along to see poison, warrant, quiet riot, and enuff z nuff playing on the same bill in atlanta. during warrant's set, jani lane left the stage to shake hands with fans in the front row. unfortunately, fat-arse that he was at the time, it took several members of security to hoist him back on the stage....when he finally got lifted high enough, he had to roll onto the stage like a beached whale, lol...

enuff z nuff actually played a decent set, and even ended their final song with a "hell hole" (spinal tap) tease...

Baton Rouge

Now there's a lesser known band that broke out on the tail end of that era that I really liked.
