I read recently that Elvis likely died from the sepsis as a result of a ruptured colon.

Pain medications, corticosteroids and opioids rendered his colon essentially useless. Waste products accumulated leading to the catastrophic outcome. His private physician tried to keep the true cause of death a secret for many years.

I felt sad reading that too.

He had access to everything you could want in life, but the fame was so big he couldn't find true love or friendship. There was always the knowledge that 98% of the people were there for selfish reasons.
