I've recently discovered a lot of Pearl Jam songs thanks to their Sirius station. They've become my favorite band since. I looked at their website and saw that Eddie Vedder is currently touring solo. Has anyone been to one of these concerts? I saw that he was going to be playing in Sicily the week before I was planning on going to Croatia, so I bought some tickets. The venue is Teatro Antico di Taormina:

I'm really looking forward to it but feel like I may be bummed that it won't be the whole band. Those who have seen a solo concert of his, how was it?

Was that place built during the Roman Empire? I know they had to have good acoustics due to lack of microphones. Pretty impressive its still being used.

I'd advise you to just enjoy it for what it is and not worry about what it's not -- I mean, look at that.

I saw Eddie Vedder play solo at the Chicago Theater in 2011 and it was one of the more memorable concert experiences of my life. He will kill it.

I've been to taormina. The view is absolutely breathtaking.

Bummed? Are you retarded ? You are seeing a great artist play in one of the most beautiful Greek amphitheatres in the world and you are worried about being bummed?

I didn't mean overall, but you're right. I'm probably overthinking it and it will end up being an amazing time.

How old are you out of curiosity? That place looks amazing, and Vedder is an all time great, so dont black out.

I'm 24. I've never heard any of his solo stuff - I'll check it out soon. I figured he's still great on his own, I just wanted to see if anyone had any experiences. Does he still mostly play PJ songs or has he got some of his own as well?

A major concert regret of mine is passing on Vedder tickets in Houston. Probably 2011-12?

Was gonna be at Verizon Theater I believe.

Watched his live bits on YouTube since. He is badass anywhere he plays. If you like PJ you will like him. He is reaching national treasure status, but is still only early 50's so he can still perform well.

He'll play a lot of his own stuff, a lot of PJ and a lot of covers. A friend of mine, who is a big Pearl Jam fan, says it's the best show he's ever seen.

Check out the into the wild soundtrack. I love it, and it's mostly all of his own stuff.
