Two verses that stand out --

Kendrick on "Deep Water" and Eminem on "Medicine Man".

This is not the Compton soundtrack. This is literally Dr. Dre's album inspired by Straight Outta Compton.

I know that......cmon man.

I got the soundtrack part from the album cover. I am not dumb enough to think this was the soundtrack for straight outta compton......

You're shocked at the amount of swear words on a fricking Dr Dre album?

Damn shame. I like 2 or 3 songs, but I'm finding it hard to locate Dre on some of the songs. His voice is different again. There was some nice beats, but how disappointing for this to supposedly be your last album. I feel like, the old school guys should've been on a lot more of the tracks. I mean his own step brother Warren G is nowhere to be found on here. Then he has the For the love of Money song. If he would've got Bone Thugs N harmony on that, I think it would've been tight.

I think the album is pretty good, but not really what I was expecting. The beats and production are great, but that's pretty much a given with anything Dre does. The songs are pretty cluttered with features, and I agree with the poster that said it's difficult to find Dre on some tracks. All in all it's solid, but a bit underwhelming, especially if it is his last album. Some tracks I like:

Talk About It
It's All on Me
All in a Day's Work
Deep Water
Just Another Day
For the Love of Money

Is this the album formerly called detox and it's finally out?

I've been waiting years for that, but I can't tell if this is that album or some kind of companion piece to the film.

It's bananas. It's an 'inspired by' album. It's inspired by Straight Outta Compton, we're gonna call the album Compton: The Soundtrack. I'm really proud of this." Dre also described the upcoming release as being his 'grand finale.' [1]

I still can't tell. Oh well, looks like he scrapped detox completely and is banking on this being the finale album.

I'll give it a whirl.

Not feeling it. I'll give it another listen, but nothing stood out as really good on the first listen.
