Bump for a question. Will they have an opening act? Show starts at 7:30. That is early but it is wednesday.

I googled but can find nothing about his opening act or whether he has one or not.

Probably not. The full band usually does but D & T don't. At least they haven't when I've seen them in the past.

I will be there baws. Looking forward to it.

The one good thing about Dave & Tim shows is that they play a lot more good songs in the acoustic shows.

With the full band sets you've gotta put up with about 5-6 meh songs.

It was very good. Pushed 3 hours. No breaks.

I don't know if you can be as high as Dave sounds or pretends to be and perform?

He is and got lefty political. So some jimmies would have been rustled. IDGaF. It did not change or hinder the music.

Both are great guitarists. Reynolds is just a badass and Dave badassery is due to the fact that he's singing.

"Tim is going to play a song" translates to hit the pisser and grab a beer.

Yep. Poor Tim is like a dancing monkey. Bastard has no mic and has to play for 3 hours. Guess he wears NASA diapers up there.

FYI. Hot tip for all the Sugarland and houston folk. The Sugarland Town Center runs a shuttle to and from the event. $5 round trip. It is $15 to park at the venue. And come on, who isn't stopping at Town Center anyway for a drink and dinner before the show.

Parking is free at Town Center. Nice shuttle too. not a Metro bus.

Nope. They haven't the past few years with the band either. 2014 they did this two sets thing where the first set was acoustic. It wasn't always the full band either. I think the show we went to started out as D&T for a few songs, then some others joined in. We skipped Tuscaloosa in 2015 and I'm still kicking myself because Emmylou Harris guested on several songs. 2016 they went back to the normal full set, nothing acoustic, and had no openers.

I am confirmed for tix to the Tuscaloosa show in May. I should have awesome seats unless they're way off to one side.

Went to this one. The 1st acoustic set was boring AF. 2nd set with the full band was much, much better. Emmylou did 3 songs I think. Maybe only 2. Can't really remember.

Was gonna go to this one in May, but $90 for 2 dudes playing acoustic guitar is a bit ridiculous.

I saw DM/TR at Duke University in 1999. There were only 1,000 people at the show and it was amazing.

Tim Reynolds is good, but I'd rather drag my nuts over broken glass than sit through another Dave Matthews set.
