Which do you prefer? Joe Walsh is not an acceptable response.

OK then - a meteor big enough to hit them both.

Tough one for me. If you count solo, then Henley. Met him in '92 - very nice guy.

Henley

Frey's solo work was, what, "Smuggler's Blues" (which I definitely like)?

As far as the Eagles songs, I tended to like Henley's a little better, but the Frey songs were good, too.

Why wasn't Don Felder a choice (or non-choice)?

It's close for me but I have to go with Henley too. Frey also had The Heat is On and You Belong to the City. But Henley still dominated him solo.

ETA: I just watched History of the Eagles on Showtime. That's what brought on the question

If I HAVE to choose, I choose Don Henley. But really, my choice is the Eagles.

Thanks for the heads up on the History of the Eagles. Watching now.

Solo is an easy pick. Eagles songs is a bit tougher. I like a mix of both.

Music and voice? Henley, and it's not close in my opinion. His stuff has a uniqueness to it, while Frey's stuff is more mainstream and party-type music.

I don't know much about either being a prick, although from what I understand they ruled that band with an iron fist.

Henley hands down. Stuff with the band and afterwards. I think Boys of Summer is one of the best pop songs from the 80s.
