John Mooney Slide Guitar

I think I'm starting to get old because this type of music is really starting to grow on me (plus I'm watching local fishing shows). Anyone else know some good artists within this genre or things similar to this?

If you're getting into the Delta Blues, here's a good documentary:

I just returned from 3 hours of blues shredding...the Hendrix Experience.

Buddy Guy, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Zac Wilde...it was enough blues to keep me going for a year or so

Solid #2 or 3 all-time.....but Robert Johnson is the GOAT.

To be fair, he said Delta blues. With that said, Sam Hopkins is THE blues man if we put aside geographical identifiers.

I went to the show in Denver last week. Phenomenal version of Voodoo Child by KWS. OTOH, I wasn't impressed at all with Zakk. Show would have been much better with less of him and more of Ana Popovic.

Check out RL Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. They are technically MS hill country blues, but are great.

Old school stuff - Blind Willie McTell, Blind Lemon Jefferson.

New(ish) artists - check out Delta Moon from Atlanta. They have a really good version of Money Changes Everything (songwriter plays with them).
