I've listened to a little. I'll really give it a listen when I'm writing papers over the weekend.

So I have finally listened to the CD about five times now. It's better than White Pony and that's saying something. I love White Pony. Not a bad track on the album.

I wouldn't go that far. White Pony is Deftones best work IMO. With that said, I can't stop listening to Rosemary

Great song. Really enjoy it. With that said though, I think Entombed is probably one of the best on the album and up there with their best songs.

Poltergeist is my favorite so far. Not a bad song on the album. ATF/White Pony are still my favorites though. Have held up over time.

Here's my list in order

Koi No Yokan (this is everything i love about them in one album)
Saturday Night Wrist
Deftones
Around the Fur
Adrenaline
White Pony
Diamond Eyes

The best part of this though, is they have never made a bad album. Diamond Eyes is still a good listen for me.

True. We could rank the CDs all day but there isn't a bad one among them. Wrist was probably their weakest IMO but looking through what I own, theirs and Local H are the only bands I kept every CD of.

After first listen I had to double check to see if I wasn't listening to Mastodon/Tool.

They really amped up the heaviness in this album.

Number 8 has a 30 seconds to mars feel. "Gauze"

See, this is what I'm talking about in another Deftones thread.

Hopeless.

I'm out.

Rosemary is such a dope song! The intro is hypnotizing.

I never said it did. Someone else did. But that's what I'm talking about. The moment newer fans start comparing a band like the Deftones to a far inferior band like 30 Seconds to Mars is the moment I throw my hands in the air and yell, "I'm out."

That deep bassline just before the lyrics start is sick

Anybody else have an Ian Astbury flashback during the chorus of Romantic Dreams

I given it a couple of listens. I've always been impressed with their song writing, and it's really the only reason I still listen to them. I've calmed down to the point I don't listen to heavy music anymore. The Deftones are the exception.
