(L)mirl, Hearts/wires, xenon, and Phantom Bride are masterpieces. Defiently going back to the Saturday night wrist vibes. 9/10 for sure.

Eta: Rubicon is one of the best closing tracks they've had. They killed it on this album.

Just got all the way through it, I'm loving it as well. Vinyl will be arriving later on today. Can't wait to digest it after more listens.

How about that solo by Cantrell on "Phantom Bride"?

Man, this record gets better and better with each listen. The vinyl really opens everything up and is not compressed to death. Chino still got it, and did a great job with the vocals.

Second listen now that I have the actual CD handy. Gore got me on its first listen. Doomed User reminds me a little of Royal. Great stuff as always with them.

Chino's scream at the end of the song Gore is filthy. This album is really, really good. I might top my lists if it holds up over time. Defiently top 3.

Thanks for the reminder.

Great album on first listen, which doesn't happen often for me.

Highly recommend.

I didn't really love prayers/triangles when I first heard it, but now I can't stop listening to it!

It hasn't gotten as bad for me yet as when Saturday Night Wrist came out. I was actually addicted to that album, could not stop listening to it.

I actually made a post about not being excited about prayers and triangles also but it has grown on me. I loved the heavier first two albums of the deftones but if they could make an album from white pony till this one with the two heaviest songs on each album it would be their best ever. I like what they have evolved into but there are two or three songs per album that really get my blood flowing.

So after having a few days to listen and digest this new album, what one song are you absolutely feeling right now? I know it's damn near impossible to only choose one, but for me it's Acid Hologram. Love the overall feel and vibe of the entire thing! It's soooo good...
