Playing September 20, 1970 Fillmore East show right now in ATL.

Acoustic first set and about to start electric second set.

Not the real thing, but a solid second. Great set list.

What say the board on DSO?

Dark Star is and has been the best Dead cover band for years. JRAD is definitely making moves to take over but they need some more time before they are even close to DSO.

They're OK for a tribute band as far as tribute bands go. John, the Jerry dude, was good enough to play with Bobby and Phil in Further. He pretty much carried them when I saw them in Seattle a few years back. I'm not sure if he's with DSO anymore, though.

JRAD is better, but they don't do the same thing at all. I thought DSO was in the meh+ range compared with bands of their stature when I saw them.

fake jerry doesn't play with them anymore I don't think

Two very different bands. Kadlecik left and went to play with some other GD cover band.
