Sitting here at work with the classic rock station cranked up and I realized something...The rock genre from the late 60's through the 80's is the best music ever created in the history of mankind.

Nothing like "Ridin' The Storm Out" to help move the day along.

You guys give me a frickin' break. That song was playing at the time.

Does 'Whiskey in the Jar' by Thin Lizzy make you feel better? Or how about 'Snortin Whiskey and Drinkin Cocaine' by Pat Travers?

good God.

Just because something is old doesn't mean it is/was good.

REO was a Nickelback of its day.

What is wrong with you guys? Boston and REO? Don't get me wrong they're good, but when I think of classic rock I think of Bob Seeger, Led Zeppelin, 70's ZZ Top, Steppenwolf. Just to name a few.

ETA: By the way I'm in my mid thirties and 80% of the music I listen to was made before I was born. Why? Because it IS the best.

Yep, and Gary Rickrath (sp) can tear it up.
