Chris Cornell's mash-up of "One" and "One" is brilliant!

He plays an acoustic cover of U2's "One" and sings the lyrics of Metallica's "One." I like it.

I was hoping this involved Creed's "One" mashed up with Metallica's "One." That would have been more entertaining.

I was NOT a big Soundgarden fan. I had BadMotorfinger, but that was standard issue in college 1992.

He now has the greatest voice in music IMO.

I would love to see his live show, and will if he is anywhere nearby. If he did a John Prine cover I believe I would begin awkwardly masturbating.

Fellow guitar players, can you tell if he is simply playing a Dsus2 with hammer ons and pull offs in the B string 1st fret.

I think I have mastered, but I can't quite tell if I have the D chord correct.

Thanks!

I would love to see him on one of those Songbook solo tours. He is one of rock's greatest singers, ever.

He came along at the later stage of the era when recording artists had this thing called "talent."

I initially got a chuckle out of it, then I realized he was able to create something new out of those 2 songs.

Finally, I concluded it was awesome.

He is rather impressive how he makes songs his own. He is somewhat like a grunge-rock-Sinatra.

I wasn't much of a fan in the 90s, but I hear Soundgarden on Lithium (XM) quite often now and have an appreciate for his vocals. He does have a great voice, distinctive and soulful.

He's got a big vocal range and some serious power too. Beyond the Wheel

I'm pretty sure he's playing a D7 chord
1st fret- 000010
2nd fret-000203

I had thought that, too...but I am not certain. I guess the hammer ons and pull offs could be why I am hearing a suspended chord...and it's so hard to see it in the video because he keeps his fingers so close to the strings, even when he is not using them. I tend to create more space...but then again, I am not Chris Cornell. Lol

Well, technically that is what it becomes once I hammer on to the B string/1st fret...so yes, I think you and I are right.

I'm sticking with my call. I think it's a pure D7. He hammers on and off the B string
