I'm pretty stoked for the EP and LP.
John Frusciante - Glowe
It's only short clip, but what do you guys think?

As previously reported, the guitar virtuoso/ex-Chili Pepper will release a new solo EP, Letur-Lefr, on July 17th, which will be followed by a full-length LP, PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone, on September 24th.

Yes

No
Also, in 2012 drum samples/programs should not sit so high in the mix IMO. This ain't 1994.

You have got to be kidding me. John Frusciante isn't a guitar virtuoso? Dude is a god damn beast. I've seen him live, and my face is still melted a little bit.
Rolling stones had him like 65-75 on their top 100 list. I'd argue he belongs even higher than that.
ETA: I'm curious to see what music you are into to make you discredit JF. Metal? Blues/country?
I play funk rock bass so I'm kind of biased/obsessed w the chili peps bc of flea but still, JF is definitely a virtuoso.
ETA2: I saw rhcp this past month at hangout and josh K really points out how good JF was. Everytime a solo would come, i'd be like, "here we go!" Then I'd be like, "Oh yea, it's this guy"

I met him wednesday at the square in New Orleans. It was extra awesome b/c I was at the hangout as well. That was my first time seeing them live, then I met MF'ing FLEA 3 days later.
