Been listening to Bienvenue en Louisianne on Tunein Radio and have to say I've gained a greater appreciation for Cajun music. Anyone here any more knowledge of this music you might wanna share? Who are the best artists?

Where are you from originally?

Just asking because the wording you used made it sound like youve just discovered cajun music.

Never can go wrong with Buckwheat Zydeco, but I really take a shining to Pine Leaf Boys...makes me want to make the drive to Ville Platte and get my cajun on

I can post some stuff but it would likely be considered Swamp Pop.. I really like Damon Troy

And Zydeco, you cant go wrong with Keith Frank.

None of that is traditional Cajun music tho

I'm from and live in La. I've heard Cajun music before. I've just never appreciated enough to become familiar with the artists who produce it. ETA: Until now

Tab Benoit and Horace Trahan are two of my favorites:

Tab Benoit is INCREDIBLE live:
We Make a Good Gumbo
Jambalaya
Night Train Why Are People Like That
When a Cajun Man Gets the Blues

I've never seen Horace live, but I hear he's a great dude...the sound quality isn't too great on here, so I suggest checking him out on iTunes.
