BUKU Music Festival Age Question

Buku age restriction is 18+. Nephew and a friend are wanting to go but are 17.
Has anyone been and how strict are they about enforcing the age requirement?
Thanks

I went at 17. To answer your question no they aren't very strict. Buku is a bunch of college, high school, and typical music fest people that come to get fricked up on everything there is. By far the most drugs i've ever seen at a music fest.

How is the scene at buku? I really want to see sleigh bells and car seat headrest but don't want to deal with a bunch of tools who can't handle their shite.

It's super young and pretty annoying. I want to see those 2 as well. Went a few years ago to see one specific band and the scene was pretty ridiculous. A bunch of high schoolers on Molly everywhere.

Its really fun if you're still in college or even in high school. Don't go if you're older then that unless you're a big drinker, and can afford VIP. You get free drinks for VIP.

Don't get me wrong, I still may go to sea Car Seat Headrest and maybe Sleigh Bells. I hate to miss a chance to see either. My point was just to know what you're getting yourselve into if you go.

I wouldn't waste your time or money. I dont get the appeal for Sleigh Bells at all. Car Seat Headrest will be back around.

It is very much a mood thing for me. Some days I love them, some days I can't handle them at all.
Side note, their guitar player is a huge LSU fan.

Never seen so much MDMA and vomit as I have at Buku 2013, and I've been around.

The lot scene at Umphrey's McGee and Leftover Salmon doesn't count.

I think this is the 3rd time sleighbells have been at buku. I don't care for them much either, it's all reverbed vocals, and cheerleading chant choruses.
