BR rap scene - putting the city on the map

Pretty interesting how local rap artists like Boosie, Mouse and Webbie are putting the city on the map. They rap about LSU as well, which is awesome IMO. Kids around the country are listing to our locally grown music!

I think Boosie is in Angola. It seems a bit extreme for the crimes he was actually convicted of. I guess they were using him as an example. I think he gets out in like 3-4.

Rap did not put BR on the map.

No one gives a shite that a few rappers are from Baton Rouge. I would not care if a musician was from Sacramento and rhymed about the Kings.

Ironically enough, the majority of people outside of Louisiana that are aware that these guys are from BR, probably could not locate Baton Rouge on a map.

Youngbleed was the first BR rapper. He is the true pioneer along with MC Nero and Beelow
