Any thoughts on this band? I saw them over the weekend and was kind of blown away by them. I wasn't expecting what I saw.

I love their song "Hate Me Today". Where did you them?

That's the only song I knew coming in, but their new stuff is really good. I don't understand why they aren't bigger than they are. I saw them at the Wildflower Festival in Richardson, TX. Mabye 100 people watching them.

Thanks I will have to check their new stuff out. I thought they would have a bigger following than that.

I heard the song Razor Blade in 2005 and freaked out at how good it was, so I bought the whole catalogue. I was shocked at how much less good it was.

I'm a big fan.
Justin (the lead singer) is from the Houston area and will play most any gig close to here.
I was lucky enough to see him play an acoustic set by himself in front of a crowd of about 700 people. For his last song, he set the guitar down, stood up, and belted out a heartfelt and gritty a capella version of 'Bleed Out'. Unreal.
Gavin Rossdale came out next to do an acoustic set. Unimpressive after what we all had just witnessed.

I took my ex wife at hard rock in Biloxi.
I won $150 on the roulette table in 2 spins, took 2 tabs of x and still hated every second of it. They also only played for like an hour max.
Bunch of depressed cry babies if you ask me.

The new album, "Sway" is completely different. Justin has found peace and is writing hopeful, uplifting songs now. He's been through quite a transformation over the past couple of years (new wife, sober, Christian). The older stuff is very dark and depressing, but I really like the new stuff... he's a completely different person now.
That being said, you may still hate it, but I'm digging it.

Honestly, I've always considered them really pedestrian. They may have gotten big had they had the same sound 10 years earlier, but they just aren't really fresh in any way.
