Both are great songs. Just depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Just curious what everyone thinks. Tough call in my opinion.

I've always loved both songs but, if I had to choose just one, I think I'd go with Floyd...

Floyd by a very wide margin.

Tough choice. Maybe 98.1 could play them both about a buzzillion more times and we'll see which one makes us want to pray for the sweet release of death first.

I'll go with Petty, but I've never been much of a PF fan...

Pink Floyd. That's probably their best song post-Roger. It had one of the cheesiest music videos of its time, though.

I don't think you know what version means, and even if you think you do, nothing Petty has ever done beats anything Floyd has done. And I'm a big Tom Petty fan.

A version of a song is something like NIN and Cash both doing hurt.

What you gave us are two completely and fundamentally different songs that happen to share a name.

If by version, you mean two completely different songs that happen to have similar titles, I'm going with Foo Fighters.

and very, very different.

Mad respect for both, IMO.

Really don´t understand how you could compare them, however.
