My mother is in charge of a Mardi Gras Ball next year in Baton Rouge, who do yall recommend for an event like this. Her budget is $3,000-$5,000.

Actually she is. Looking for Phat Hat, Neighborhood Start, type of band.

I recommend DOWNRIGHT! They are friends of mine and great Mardi Gras/New Orleans Flavored Band. They played at either Mom's Ball or Krewe Du Vieux Ball a few years back and killed it. Also at the stage at the beginning at Endymion. Mostly covering Dr. John, Meters, Dirty Dozen/Rebirth type stuff. Check them out [link=(www.downright.info)]Press Kit[/link] Let me know if you like em and I can get you one of the guys #'s
