I am "that guy" trying to bust your spleen in the pit.

Drug use- I am cool with it, and in fact partake most of the time. I ,however, absolutely HATE when some idiot 19 year old kid in a neon snapback is freaking out because he is lost in a k hole or some deemster trench.

At jazz fest, I was told by the lady on front of me that I was talking too loud while Sonny Landreth was playing.

Sounds like she knows more about good music than you do
My buddy is just like you, and has no control over the volume of his voice after a few beers. He actually managed to piss off a large crowd of Guster fans at the House of Blues. I didn't even know Guster fans could experience the emotion of anger, it was weird.

Their crowd is tame compared to some of the newer bullshite I've been at. I guess it is because their crowd is older by now. I'm sure the 90's/early aughts was even more of a shite show than when I started getting down with Boognish (09)

i go to shows 3 or 4x per month including a good bit of electronica. And i have never had someone freaking out and bother me.
I do get sad when I see the kids pulled out on stretchers at shows. There is no need to get that wasted at a show, shows are meant for music. And while drugs can enhance music, the music comes first IMHO.
eta: going to wax tailor tonight, and ott in 2 weeks.

Haha I'd never do that at a Guster show or jam band show, but if I am seeing something like Arcade Fire, Paul Simon, or some big act or a band that has big grandiose vocals you better beleive I am belting out in all my monotone glory.

Maybe so, dick. Or maybe she was a stuck up bitch that gets pissed off when people talk to the person next to them during a music festival. Either way, she left the set to go to the bathroom. I bought tix to the Crossroads in MSQ to hear "good music". And I will talk when Clapton is shredding.

People go to concerts to hear music, not some kid yayo'd out who won't STFU

One time I was breaking it down hard at a Galactic show at the Varsity. Some frat doucher literally told me to stop having so much fun.

Glowstickers at a Techno show. "This ain't Trance, a-hole. Go to a rave."

I though trance was techno?
And I'm pretty sure glowsticks are at any show with a hint of psychedelia

Yeah, it was actually really funny when Phish did an A Capella version of it. Too bad you weren't there.

A band responding with a variation of freebird is funny.
A random douchehole yelling free bird isn't really funny. At all.
