One for me:
Bruce Hornsby and the Range-nothing wrong with them, and I get the appeal, but something I just can't get into.

Twiddle. There is so much hype with them becoming the next big thing but I just can't get into them.

U2, the counting crows and John Mayer. I know these bands have a huge following and have sold a zillion records, but I cringe when I hear them.

The Postal Service. I generally like Ben Gibbard. The music though...it's like it comes from some kid's toy keyboard. So distracting that I can't enjoy what Ben is trying to do.

Wilco after Being There. Can't explain it.

INXS after The Swing. Did the music really change? I can't put my finger on it, but absolutely hate their better known songs after that.

This.

Add Radiohead to the list. The Bends was great, then it was all downhill.

And JRAD.

Just kidding.

The Gaslight Anthem. It's not that I think they are bad. I've just never become a fan and they are one of those bands that is right in my wheelhouse.

No that's a good thing you aren't into them. It means you aren't depressed.

Phish: I'm big into funk and horns, but I just don't get the love for this group they're so...unspectacular.

Grateful Dead: really don't see what all the fuss is about. I do not understand at all why this band is still so revered. I mean, they're ok, but nothing special enough to warrant such a cult following.

I agree with kingbob: Phish & Grateful Dead. I respect both bands a lot musically. I just don't really like them that much. Objectively I can see that they're great musicians but subjectively it doesn't do it for me.

If you don't like Springsteen, you probably won't like Gaslight Anthem. Their vocals are very similar, just a little more upbeat and raw sounding.

I felt this way for a while until I started listening to some of their stuff from their albums that didn't make it on the radio. In my opinion, 45 may be one of the worst songs in their catalog, and that's all anyone ever hears. The 59 Sound is just an outstanding album from start to finish that really amounts to being greater than the sum of its parts.
