Every cart has its own specific VTF (vertical tracking force)--that downforce, measured in grams, is adjusted by using the tonearm' counterweight. The tonearm itself has nothing to do with the actual required VTF though.

Tough loss for y'all , but a great game. I thought Clemson was toast after the OJ TD

Yeh... I had a few to drink when I sent that.
Couldn't remember for the life of me what it was called, so I tried to cover my bases.
Emailed roger again today. He asked me to give him another couple of weeks cause they were still slammed and were having problems with orders.

Marco, maybe this has been explained, but what is with that setup in front of your fireplace? Is that temporary?

Yeah...since I am pretty content with the reference rig, I kinda don't feel the need to change it up anymore. I have listened to numerous mega rigs ($250k and up), when I get itchy to make changes, and honestly, I have come to really appreciate the sound of mine. I know it's sound like the back of my hand.
But I still love the hobby, so I started a couple years ago in buying lower priced gear that is of a different "flavor" from my ref rig--open baffle speakers, planar speakers, full range/single driver speakers, low powered tube amps, some vintage stuff, $500 cartridges (as opposed to $5000 ones). I am enjoying hearing the differences in sound in how the sound is made by a totally different concept.
I usually set these systems up in the great room along the short wall and change out different components in them frequently.
The vintage EICO amps that I am having restored should be here in a couple weeks or so, so I will run those in that system for a while when they arrive.
As I have said before, there is a good deal of audio gear out there that is a pretty good value.
It also makes me realize just how good the big reference rig is--I will often times listen to something in the temporary rig, and then listen to the same thing again on the ref rig...and while it sounds pretty good on the smaller rig, it can't touch the big rig.

First listen of My Morning Jacket's "Okonokos" vinyl reissue, 4 LP box set.
One of my favorite live albums. The reissue includes three tracks not on the DVD or original vinyl:
Where To Begin
Sooner
Strangulation
Been on a hue MMJ kick since seeing Carl play at the Preservation Hall and Jim at the Civic.
