That's my point. It was an over-the-top response to his claim that I'm "wrong." Come on, Quail. You've seen me post enough to figure these things out.

Fair enough. I'd be willing to bet I've listened to far more RHCP than you have John Frusciante. My big issue with RHCP is Kiedis. His arrogance far exceeds his abilities. Seriously, the Mr. Bungle and SNL outbursts make him very hard to respect. Oh, and his Dalai Lama stories.

I've listened to a decent amount of John Frusciante. I have a friend that's into him.

And I've owned every RHCP album through Californication. Musically, the guys are stellar, but then you put 4 spare tires on a Ferrari with Kiedis.

I think your opinion of Kiedis is a bit over the top.

Scar Tissue is an amazing autobiography. I really enjoyed the read and it gave me more respect for what the members of RHCP have accomplished over these years.

A better one would be Raconteurs > White Stripes.

I didn't know of that connection. Devildriver was comical the time I saw them. I get it, you're metal. Do you really need to growl every fricking song title, you cheesy shits?

Bad Company > Free

Led Zeppelin > The New Yardbirds

Joan Jett > Runaways (NOT universal - but my opinion)

BTO is probably a push with The Guess Who, but I like more of BTO's songs.

(I agree with Audioslave over RATM.)

Velvet Revolver is better than new Guns and Roses, but not original/classic GnR - so I don't know how to rate that.

For a time, Sebadoh > Dinosaur Jr.

And there are times when I feel Sugar is better than Husker Du... that may be blasphemy, but Copper Blue is a near perfect record..
