Found some songs from an old band of mine.
Just made a quick reverb nation profile and uploaded them.

I have not produced in a while.

My latest tracks are dj mixes with some originals thrown in.

Cool! Will give a listen to both posts when I can sit down and pull some headphones over my ears.

Reminded me of a cross between Johnny Cash and the Moody Blues for some reason.

Pretty good

Wow! Great stuff!

Heard so many components that reminded me of familiar sounds: Sunny Day Real Estate, Two Door Cinema Club, Mew, Superchunk, Archers of Loaf.

Can you fill in some of the backstory? Band name and history? Recording production process? Your role in the band?

Thanks!

I played guitar

The band was Valley of Ashes (take from a chapter from the Great Gatsby), we later changed it to Underwater Moonlight (named after an song from the Soft Boys)

It was recorded in my living room by a guy named Jerry Guidros, whose a sound engineer out of Nashville.. He also recorded a band I was in called Walk Through Walls back in 2001 (you can hear that at cdbaby.com I think, and possibly iTunes)

Anyway the band broke up a few years ago, a few of the guys just didn't have time to continue playing.

I'm currently working on a new project called Livebearers with a few of the guys from underwater moonlight. We have about 6 songs done and a few more in the works. Once those are done we'll probably record a demo, and then start gigging..

I've got a few songs recorded on my phone I'll try and upload and post tonight.....won't be the best recording quality in the world, but you'll get an idea of the sound

You're selling yourself way short. Your "Atlantic City" was great. Solid voice

I just added a new song "Female Bodybuilders".

it's a recording from practice with my new band, Livebearers. Keep in mind it was just recorded using my phone, so the quality isn't that great.

Sounds cool. Not going to lie. Got excited at the beginning--started just like some Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers song. Course, it changed direction very quickly.

Is this the one you were trying to get input on for the cover art?

We're not great, but we play original rock and roll, a dying breed.
