Any suggestions on record players

I just came upon a bunch of rare cajun vinyls and have always had my Dad's large collection of vinyl records and I want to finally get a record player.
Would like a classicly built one that can get pretty loud.
Doesn't have to be cheap.
I will probably just get a cheap one that can convert vinyl to mp3s

Audio Technica make good, inexpensive ones.
This kind of defeats the purpose, IMO.

None of these cajun records have ever been reproduced as CDs or mp3s so Id like to convert them just in case

Ah, understood.
I'd be interested to know some of the records you have.
Sounds intriguing.

If you don't have a receiver or amp with a phono input.
This has a built in preamp so you can just plug it into any line level audio input.
Marantz TT42P Turntable
Or you could get this it has a USB interface so you can record the LP to Mp3.

I've been planning this one but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Glad to hear more good feedback
