Sure am. My buddy and I play "Blue on Black" unplugged at a local watering hole.

Whisper on a scream doesn't change a thing, doesn't bring you back, yeah yeah.

Great song. I first saw him play when he was in high school at the Red River Revel in Shreveport. He said at that gig that he was heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughn. They play him on the radio and give him props up here in Asheville all the time.

He's a good guy. I've met him once. His dad was a radio dj in Shreveport back in the nineties and he apparently had some connections in the music industry out in California. He was only about seventeen when I saw him play but damn you knew he was ultra talented even back then at that age.

He is a good blues guitar player...but nothing special compared to other great blues guitarists..he can't sing....

He made it because of his daddy's connection. That's a cold fact.

He was really nice and seemed very grounded when I met him, but he'll always be Kenny Wayne Vaughnabee until he shakes SRV's ghost.

That's never going to happen. Unless I shake Jimmy Page's ghost.

I don't really love his music, but he is a damn fine guitar player. I've seen him live several times. He graduated from my high school a few years before me, but we weren't there at the same time.

He is a pretty decent SRV imitator, at the 7:00 minute mark in this video he gets paired up with my personal guitar hero Greg Koch. The back story was that he had no idea who Greg was, and was egged on by some of the local crew to go out and wipe him off the stage, he was supposedly pretty pissed afterwards.
