An Evening with Paul Simon and Alan Toussaint

Anyone else going to this? It's at Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré in New Orleans. Tickets are $300 and $500. Paul Simon will be playing a tribute to Alan, along with special guests. I have heard, from not the most reliable source but the person who bought me a ticket, that Jimmy Buffett and Paul McCartney will the the special guests. Has anyone else heard anything?

Buffet would not surprise me, especially since he just played at Mr. Toussaint's memorial. I would be shocked if Sir Paul plays. He did record a Wings album in NO at Mr. Toussaint's studio, but I just can't see him performing at le Petit. Him making a huge $ contribution - absolutely.

So Paul can still bring it. He still sounds great at 74. He played for about 2 hours. It was a great concert.

He played Graceland, You Can Call Me All, Under African Skies, Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes, 50 Ways to leave your lover. And others that I can't remember

Paul said he loved New Orleans during the concert. He also said he was coming back down here for Jazz Fest.
