I've never seen a band get so much hype and publicity without having a record as this band gets. Don't get me wrong, I like their music a lot.

They must have hired the best publicist in the industry or something

I hope they blow up. I think after their jack white shows, they will.

The album has 3-4 songs that should get radio play.

Now's the time to get on board, they'll blow up after bonnaroo. Their lead singer is amazing

Album is available for download on iTunes if you preordered. Mine just downloaded, gave the whole thing a listen and it was everything I expected.

Check them out, it's a steal at $7.99.

Here is an aricle from there lawyer, John P. Strohm, former Blake Babies and Lemonheads guitarist... He has been big in promoting them, but he talks about how many bands are now "broken" on public radio and I know that is where the AS gained a lot of their buzz...

interesting. I knew they had to have some serious backing.

they just broke out, and they have been thrust into the festival circuit and the talk shows

They've been getting played a good bit on XM the last couple weeks. I like their sound.

Would fit well and solidify their funk/soul foundation. The guitar player needs to get a bit more Dennis Coffey sound going but he is solid enough for a start. What they are releasing is a good start though. I am looking forward to more. Could be flash and gone but I don't think so.

Imagine if you take this (Hold On official video)....

....and blend a bit more of this backing (Dennis Coffey - F**k You). IMO AL Shakes has the makings of something pretty cool.

ETA 'cause I'm a DA who misspelled Coffey.

Is that go music now or just go music? I just went to go music and it looks like an internet station recorder?

Heavy Chevy

Great old time rock and roll and in this one song the singer (at certain points) sounds like Janis Joplin, Prince and Jack White IMO.

Check it out...
