Trying to motivate myself to pick up the guitar more than once every few weeks. I have several electrics, a hollow body, a 12 string, and a few old acoustics, but no decent new acoustic that's easy to play. I plan on buying a nice new acoustic to get the juices flowing again, and I'm looking to put together a song list to motivate me. What acoustic songs do you enjoy playing? My tastes lean more toward metal, but I can enjoy anything that's on the radio.
A couple examples:
Wonderwall by Oasis
Every Rose Has its Thorn by Poison

Both are acoustic guitar songs that virtually anyone can easily identify quickly. That's the kind of stuff I'm looking for.
Suggestions?

I don't like tuning up because of the extra stress on the neck so I tune down to open D and then capo on 2.

I heard a story one time that Leo Kottke really liked this song and put it into his concert repertoire. He was doing a show one night and found out that Duane was going to be there so he put Little Martha in the setlist that night. After the show Duane came up to him and said that he really liked Kottke's rendition but added, "Leo, you know I play that in open E right?" Kottke had played in standard tuning.

Nutshell - AIC...and pretty much anything from their unplugged set list is what I've been playing a lot lately.

Classical Gas is challenging and fun. I need to run through it again cuz I lose it if I don't practice it enough.

For alternate tunings I like "Seasons" by Chris Cornell and "Watch The Sunrise" by Big Star.
