Accoustic version of Counting Crows "Mr. Jones" is FAR better than original

Don't believe me? Listen to the song and post your reaction. The song has a totally different arrangement and is absolutely fan-freaking-tastic. I dare say the song is sexy:
Mr. Jones (Accoustic)
Mr. Jones (Accoustic)

I have heard that many times, but it is not better than the original.

Did not listen yet. But if the guy Adam Duritz does not sing the whole thing, meaning beatnik spoken word rambling stuff, it will suck.

Dude, there are not enough bullets to go around for all of us.

I hear this version a lot on satellite radio, but the original version is much much better imo.

I actually love this version but I'd rather be condescending and make fun of you for just now discovering it than actually say something positive.

I listened. I've seen them live within the last 5 years.
They tweak their arrangements too much for my taste. Especially on August album songs.
Which pisses you off because they opened with Sullivan Street and he still more than has the pipes to hold the big note in that song. And he sang it well, but then changed many other songs.
It was still a good show that I was glad to see, but could have been better IMO.

Foo Fighters - Everlong Acoustic (Live on Stern)
This fits that criteria as well, and I love the original.

I can't stand the original version of Mr. Jones. It might be the worst song Counting Crows has done, imho.
It was in fact a big reason why I didn't really embrace CCs until about their third album in. I couldn't bring myself to listen to the rest of the songs by a band that made a song as bad as Mr. Jones.

Probably my favorite acoustic version of a song ever.
