Tool (any album)

Tool should never be unplugged. Prog rock requires the depth of sound, and being played unplugged ruins it. Plus their complexity is withing the melding of the sounds, not any one particular instrument on its own.

You beat me to it SUB! Would have been epic...

I also think Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden would have been good too.

I've mentioned on here before that I once interviewed Warren Haynes for an article I was asked to write on Mule/Jazz Fest...

I knew that Haynes and Woody were really tight, so I told myself the whole day of the interview, "don't say Woody Allen, don't say Woody Allen, don't say Woody Allen." The time came to the end of the interview, and as we discussed the revolving Mule bass chair, and how Mule seemed settled in with Jorgen Carlssonn, I wanted to evoke Woody's name for respect purposes...

Once again, I seriously had to go over in my head-- DO NOT CALL THIS SUMBITCH WOODY frickIN' ALLEN!! What do you know, I did......not call him Woody Allen, but said "I think Allen Woody would be proud of where Mule is these days." Warren agreed and said " yea, i think he would really be proud of where we are." So, yea, that's my story.

Alice In Chains already had 2 legit acoustic albums before ever stepping on the Unplugged stage. They wrote all their music playing acoustically. A lot of bands did. I don't think it would be too hard for most bands, especially of that era and the hair band era before it, to pull off.

I'm fairly certain they don't have one but 30 Seconds to Mars would be fantastic unplugged.
