I haven't even tried to listen to their new stuff, but I always had a blast at their shows. 311 Day the first year back in New Orleans was rowdy as shite on the floor.

I actually enjoyed most of their last album (Wild Nights and Trouble) are GREAT songs.

It was definitely a high shool phase so I don't really follow them that much but I always had fun at their shows. P-Nut is a beast on the bass though

first 3 albums were boss. 311 was the sweet spot of my LSU days.

Uplifter wasn't that bad (wasn't that good either...) and I still listen to a few songs off of that album. Universal Pulse, however, didn't do it for me. You can tell all of the creativity has been sapped from their bodies.
That said, I've seen 311 three times and each time was amazing. Plus with albums like Evolver, Transistor, Soundsystem, Grassroots, and the other oldies - they will be one of my favorite bands.

They have been mailing it in since Soundsystem. From Chaos keeps looking better with each new turd they produce. But the last 3 have been very bad. I saw them at Pow Wow when they played the whole last album and its not bad live but I can't put the cd in on purpose without cringing. The lyrics are cheesier than ever and I have no hope for a future quality album. Just your and have fun. Don't water down live shows because you thought you had a cool new song. Nobody over 30 who grew up with 311 is amused.
