Literally blown away. "Fire Squad" has some of the best wordplay that I have ever heard. What an album; Cole is probably the best right now after this.

I don't listen to a ton of hip hop/rap but this is pretty good. I listened to Fire Squad first while I read about his background. Pretty cool the first house he bought (2014 Forest Hill Drive obvi) was the one his parents foreclosed on.

Haven't gotten to get that first solid listen through front to back but heard some tracks. So far so good. Gonna try to let it ride tonight and listen to the whole thing. Definitely anticipating this one from Cole

I guess we don't like good music on this board. How about you listen to some real shite, like this rather than suck some shitty bands dicks like y'all do on here

There was a thread on it when it leaked last week.

Favorite project of his since FNL. I've listened to the album like 30 times already and still haven't picked out a favorite song. Maybe Love Yourz or Apparently.

Second best hip hop release this year, behind Big KRIT's album. Wet Dreamz had me reminiscing about my 9th grade year. lol

I expected better. Its ok but just kind of a boring listen to me the rapping is good bute the beats and production are all pretty bland? I duno I'll give it another try just didn't stand out to me on first listen like Born Sinner did.

I don't know why J. Cole just doesn't do it for me. It's his voice or lack of inflection or something. His lyricism is good, I just don't love his delivery. I also don't think his production is that interesting.

That being said, I'll listen to this a few times.

The hip hop albums I really liked this year:

Wara from the NBHD: Kidnapped
Run the Jewels: RTJ2
Mick Jenkins: The Waters
Pharaohe Monch: PTSD
YG: My Crazy Life

Just thought I'd drop by to say
