Today is the day a unanimous top 10 jam was performed in Saratoga Springs, NY by the band Phish

Even at the tail end of Phish's great run in the 90s, the boys still had it, and this jam is living proof. Coventry was a few months away and the band could still bring the heat.

So without further adieu, here's the jam:

Part 1

Part 2

This jam contains it all. Slow building grooves, funky breakdowns, ominous space, raging guitar solos. The final climatic jam builds and builds for a few minutes, and then when you think its all over it moves in a funky little 4/4 groove in the last 2-3 minutes.

Even if you're not a phan it's worth a listen if got 30 minutes to kill and some good headphones

Sorry its not better quality, only could find AUDs online

edit: its the SBD now, but in 2 parts

Several distinct passages of thematic jamming, and topping it off with one of the greater peaks of the 2.0 era (and a fitting partner to its Miami counterpart the previous NYE run) make this an easy contender for THE jam of 2.0
