By far my favorite set

10. Ellie Goulding - 2013 - Only knew a few of her songs going in, but she rocked out the show and put on a great performance.
9. Lenny Kravitz - 2016 - A true master of his craft. He rocked out with his band. Backup singers were entertaining and horns section was on point.
8. Foo Fighters - 2011 - Actually came out earlier in the day and played a few covers when Cee Lo Green was late. They continued their greatness with a really fun set as the headliner that night.
7. Passion Pit - 2013 - Really energetic performance. The crowd was really into it.
6. Grouplove - 2013 - Early in the day, but had a ton of energy. They were dressed up in far out outfits and rocked the stage from the start to finish.
5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - 2013 - Karen O has an excellent voice and interacted with the crowd. They sounded sharp.
4. Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros - 2012 - They put out a great sound for having so many band members. It felt like the crowd wasn't as familiar with them, but were won over by the end of the set.
3. The Killers - 2014 - Lone 2014 performance to make the top 10. Killers are a great live band and put on an excellent show.
2. Florence and the Machine - 2016 - Had an incredible sound. Florence's voice may sound even better live. They had a great energy and their sound can't truly be appreciated unless it is heard live.
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers - 2012 - The crowd was nuts and the band nailed the performance. They were what you would expect and that is greatness.

I'm sorry man, I'm not trying to be a dick, but that is an extremely shitty list. No Ween 2011? No Cheese 2012? No Paul Simon? No Wilco? What the frick.
All of those bands outside Paul Simon are terrible.
even worse fail than op, congratulations

People still use "fail" on message boards?
Also, not my fault if you have poor music taste.

I enjoy alternative rock - see my rankings. Jam bands...not really my style because I enjoy good music.
There are always a bunch of bands every year that I enjoy. I usually check out about 10-12 acts per year.

Surprised MMJ 11' hasn't gotten any love in this thread. One of my favorite performances by them.

2011 was the only year I went. My Morning Jacket, Motorhead, and especially Ween were all great. Paul Simon was fun, and WSP was awful.

If I had to throw a list together, it would probably look something like this:
1). 2011 Paul Simon
2). 2010 Alison Krauss & Union Station
3). 2011 Ween
4). 2011 My Morning Jacket
5). 2012 SCI
6). 2011 Bassnectar w/ Beats Antique (Late Night)
7). 2012 Steve Winwood
8). 2012 Gary Clark Jr.
9). 2012 Jack White
10). 2014 Outkast
Honorable Mentions all worth a discussion to be in the Top 10:
2010 The Roots
2011 Widespread Panic
2012 Wilco
2012 Alabama Shakes
2012 Randy Newman
2012 Young the Giant
2013 Railroad Earth (Thursday Kick-off)
2014 Modest Mouse
2014 The Tontons
Haven't paid much attention after 2014 because it has become so terrible. I did hear that Florence was awesome though.

Tom Petty is better than everyone mentioned thus far in the thread and he rocked it out.

They are just checking for illegal drugs and other items. Fine by me.
They could give two shites about drugs. Granted, if they find them, they're taking them, but their #1 priority is keeping alcohol out and forcing the crowd to buy inside.

Explains your shitty top 10.

Good call. That was absolutely beautiful.
One that I haven't seen mentioned that floored me was Grizzly Bear in 2013. They were fricking fantastic. M Ward was also really really good that year. He is a helluva musician.
