So there's MoS, then BvS, then JL...

It seems like there's no structure either.

I thought this one was already the Justice league film I was really hoping some other director would do it.

Why are DC movies such cluster fricks?

I'd hope that Batman vs Superman would lay the groundwork for a larger universe but I don't have a lot of hope for it being done as well as Marvel has.

Because they're caught between the success of Nolan and the success of Marvel, which are really the antithesis of each other. It's caused them to over think everything in their film catalog.

It comes down to the funny quip about JL and GotG, DC is worried about how Wonder Woman will translate to film and Marvel is saying, "Here's a raccoon with a machine gun."

wonder why they fell so in love with him?

idk how i really feel about it. I thought MoS was flawed but a great movie. better than most of Marvels films.

Marvel was great at starting the universe. most of the sequels (minus winter solider) were terrible.

Iron Man 2 and 3 were both major let downs and pretty bad.

Thor 2 was alright.

the only one thats been great was Winter Soldier.

He does have a point. I would rate the Marvel films as follows:

Iron Man - 9/10
The Incredible Hulk - 5.5/10
Iron Man 2 - 6/10
Thor - 6.5/10
Captain America: The First Avenger - 7/10
The Avengers - 8.5/10
Iron Man 3 - 5/10
Thor: The Dark World - 6/10
Captain America: The Winter Solider - 8.5/10

I'll give you IM2, which is about on par with MoS. Really. I was laughing that MoS was "Great" and the Marvel sequels were all terrible.

Underrated, but yeah.

I'd agree, but the rest, outside of IM2, are mediocre to good.

So Marvel has made 3 or 4 great films a bunch of really good films and 1 bad (that really isn't THAT bad). And MoS sits maybe above IM2, probably equal to IM3.

Nolanitis. There's a cure for that.

just going to agree to disagree. it seems like you have a big problem with Superman in general. IM3 was way worse than IM2. pepper pots defeats the villain in the end with one blow with a pipe? really? and then the huge issue of tony failing to save her is instantly cured OFF SCREEN in a voice over summary?

and tony has 100 fricking suits he waits to call upon until the end? yet hes struggling the whole movie? how "batman dossier" is that?

Winter Solder and Iron Man were great, so 2
Avengers and Thor 2 were good
Thor was pretty boring, same with Incredible Hulk
Iron Man sequels were very bad.

so 2 great, 2 good, rest alright or bad. how was MoS that bad?

I'd rather have Nolanitis than Disneyitis.
