I can dig it. It's been awhile since a good serial killer film came out imo.

It has been over 30 years, but teenaged bird35 liked Mark Harmon playing Ted Bundy.

ZE and MH are kind of similar. It may be a good movie.

Agree. We as a society need to be better than this.

If you get the chance to watch The Deliberate Stranger, Mark Harmon gave a performance that will be hard to beat. short clip from youtube

quote:

Bundy's lawyer Polly Nelson, in her book Defending the Devil, characterized the film as "stunningly accurate" and said it did not portray anything that was not proven to be factual. She singled out for praise Harmon's portrayal of Bundy, noting how Harmon reproduced Bundy's rigid posture and suspicious expression.[

You are missing the entire point if you think making a film about a serial killer is somehow "humanizing" them.

But please keep preaching from your ivory tower.

I think Zac Efron could do good in this. He needs to do something other than average comedies to widen his range.

It's not an ivory tower it's just a played out genre that appeals to the worst of humankind. And it gives these assholes what they want the most...more noteriety.

Aside from that they are just formulaic horror movies. Many documentaries are available that are light years better and more informative about guys like bundy and dahmer.

How exactly is it a "played out" genre? The last mainstream serial killer film was "Zodiac". The whole "this appeals to the worst of humankind and just gives them a spotlight" is just painting with a broad brush.

I'm guessing you are against Leo playing H.H. Holmes in the "Devil In the White City" adaptation?

so it made its budget back in one weekend. and ended up making 5x its budget. That is not a bomb at all. They werent expecting to make Comic book movie numbers.

I guess this is some quote from the trial or something, but man that's an bad movie title.

Didn't realize Efron was almost 30, he still looks like a frat star.
