After watching Hallmark's "Northpole" today I got to thinking about my favorite made for TV Christmas movies:

NPH plays a hotshot Wall Street businessman who returns home after his grandfather dies.

"Christmas Every Day" a Christmas version of "Groundhog Day" starring Erik Von Detten in the Bill Murray role

This VH1 original movie told the story of Ebony Scrooge using Behind the Music to tell her past, present and future.

Uh yea. Where else am I going to see my favorite B and C list actors in cheesy, predictable Christmas movies?

Checked out netflix recently? I'll watch one or two of those. Bad bad acting though.

The only thing I know about the Hallmark channel is that I scroll past it on the guide when I'm trying to get to FXX or the SEC Network.

Most aren't very good but every now and then you watch a good one. "A Very Merry Mix-up" is a good one that came out last year.

ABC Family also has many enjoyable original Christmas movies.

"Santa Baby" with Jenny McCarty is good. Norm from Cheers plays Santa

Has anyone seen "Three Days" with Kristin Davis? I don't know if it was made for TV or not, but it brings the waterworks.

My absolute favorite TV Christmas movie is The Gathering.

It's a tear jerker from 1977 about a dying man who pulls his estranged family together for one last Christmas. It hasn't been shown on TV in a good while, but you can catch it on YouTube.

The Homecoming. Greatest of all time.

And I think Kirk Cameron's sister makes her living making Hallmark Christmas movies these days.

Yes she has. She has starred in five Hallmark Christmas movies. The latest premiered this year, "Christmas Under Wraps"

A Mom For Christmas
It was from the early 90's I think. About a mannequin that came to life. Wasn't bad.
