Potential spoilers at times, obviously. Please label spoilers (and what show) as necessary.

What are yours? They can either be episodes you think are legitimately great television, or things that have just always been your favorite. TV has gotten so awesome in the last decade or so, so I expect there to be a good bit of fairly recent shows. But maybe not though. Let's have 'em...be sure to list the show and the episode for reference. Here are some of mine:

Lost - The Constant: Just a great hour of television, and may be my single favorite episode of any show ever. Just a well-done episode, and it takes you through all the feels. I feel like this is an episode that is pretty objectively good (and it's pretty universally loved) whether you loved or hated the show. Desmond is the man.

Firefly - Out of Gas: Another fantastic hour of television. The show is great, but this episode stood out to me when I watched it. It's just interesting, and althoguh you can figure out how it likely ends, you're still on the edge of your seat the whole time. I just remember sitting there after the episode ended thinking that I had just watched some really great television, and that has stuck with me.

Community - Modern Warfare: I know Community dipped into the paintball well over and over, but that first time was just about perfect. It was such a perfectly-done homage to action movies and things of that nature, and came at a time when Community was nearing its best.

Community - Pillows and Blankets: In the same vein as Modern Warfare, this was just so perfectly done, and the Ken Burns Civil War documentary thing was fricking fantastic, and each character fit into the story so well. It was both hilarious and impressive (relatively speaking).

Friends - The One With the Embryos: It's not easy choosing a "best episode" from a show that lasted as long as Friends, but this is easily #1 for me. And althoguh Friends gets hated on nowadays a good bit, people seem to forget just how popular the show was, and how good it was for a while. The trivia contest with Rachel, Monica, Ross, Chandler, and Joey is just so fricking funny and entertaining.

South Park - Make Love, Not Warcraft: So perfectly done with the Warcraft people helping out, and so perfectly acted with all of its characters. This is the pinnacle of how great South Park can be IMO. And as mane awesome episodes as the show has in its almost-two-decade run, this one stands out and is easily my favorite. It's hilarious from start to finish.

Saved By the Bell - Mystery Weekend: This one isn't so much "good" as it's just my favorite episode from my favorite show. I was blown away the first time I saw it, as I didn't realize that things like murder-mystery dinners/places existed, and I've wanted to do one ever since (did one last year for Halloween finally, and it was awesome).

Those are just some of mine...what are yours? I expect to see things like BB's Ozymandias and Futurama's Jurassic Bark show up several times.

One that immediately comes to mind is Deadwood - Suffer the Little Children from season 1. The final scene with Al torturing the 2 kid con artists is so haunting. Then making Joanie shoot and kill them was intense.

It was Cy, not Al, but yeah that was pretty intense. One of Kristen Bell's first recognizable roles IIRC.
