Sucks that M. Vaughn isn't directing but this is good news. If Stewart's in it, then that must mean they're ignoring X3, as they should.

Personally, I'm just waiting for some Cyclops and Sentinel confirmations and then I'll officially be pumped.

This is sounding less and less like a sequel to First Class.

I don't think the older actors will be in the majority of the film.

We understand that the main thrust of the story is set in the ‘past’ and features the First Class cast. We don’t know if Stewart will go eye to eye with James McAvoy or McKellen with Michael Fassbender, but the prospect is exciting.

How much more jacked up can they make the continuity of the XMen films?

If they follow the comics even remotely, the potential for convoluted continuity is endless.

with some time travel, they can reboot and "fix" the future

Once again Fox is misusing the X-Men franchise. They should take another direction.

I seriously hate the title for this movie. I mean wtf are they talking about? I hope they use my suggestion. Mow I just need to figure out how to make a campaign for a movie change request. Probably start on twitter.

Fox needs to read Whedon's X-Men and re-evaluate their roster of characters and how are they are used in the films.

Days of Future Past is from the comics in the 80's. Was also on the animated series. LINK

If they go with having the first three movies as canon, then I think the next two after First Class will me limited with the heroes they can use. Iceman? Colossus? Kitty Pryde? Jean Grey? Nightcrawler? Cyclops? Does this mean we'll get to see lesser known mutants, at least to the gen. public? I would love to see Domino, Strong Guy, Dazzler, Cannonball, and more of the X-Factor team brought to life.

How about not focusing on Prof.X? do we really need 5 movies focusing on him? at Marvel they killed him off(repeatedly) because the X-Men editiors/writers find him boring. Having the story shift to what Cyclops and Wolverine dynamic, it's far more interesting.

Really, I'm kinda disappointed about this, since First Class was the absolute perfect reboot to the franchise. I would have just had Mister Sinister as the villain where he tries to capture a young Jean Grey and Cyclops and have the X-Men and the Brotherhood working together again.
