X-Men: Apocalypse: Four Horsemen Identities Revealed

It’s the biggest day of Comic-Con 2015, with big trailer reveals from Warner Bros. and Legendary, and the final movie studio to take the stage in Hall H is Twentieth Century Fox.
On show today were teases from upcoming X-Men movie universe installments Deadpool and Fantastic Four, but the big finisher was X-Men: Apocalypse. The massive cast – including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Oscaar Isaac and Jennifer Lawrence – were there to present the very first teaser trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, which revealed which mutants will be by Apocalypse’s side as his Four Horsemen.
In the comics, the Four Horsemen are mutants who have been brainwashed and manipulated by Apocalypse in order to serve as his own personal guard, taking up the titles of Death, War, Pestilence and Famine. We’ve known for some time that Angel/Archangel (Ben Hardy) will be one of the Horsemen – presumably death – and now the other three have been confirmed: Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Magneto (Fassbender).
According to Isaac, Apocalypse’s main ability is the power of persuasion, which he uses to entice these aforementioned mutants into becoming his allies. Hardy also boasted about having “really badass wings,” which we’ve already seen in concept art for X-Men: Apocalypse. During the panel Hardy’s character was referred to as Angel, but it’s possible that he’s transformed into Archangel after being recruited by Apocalypse, based on the mechanical wings that he’s sporting in the concept art.
Of the characters that have been confirmed as the Four Horsemen, Angel has most traditionally been part of the lineup, while Psylocke has also served under the mantle of Death. Shipp explained Storm is persuaded to Apocalypse’s side because she’s always been searching for a god, and she believes that he might be it. Storm is probably the biggest surprise, since she’s only a teenager in X-Men: Apocalypse and the set photos so far have shown her with Jean Grey and the rest of the young X-Men.

Footage was shown as well, I'm sure that will be leaked soon.

The angel of death was an archangel, so makes sense.

Apocalypse is my favorite X-villain. I just fear he's unfilmable, similar to Galactus.

I was really hoping Mystique would be one of the Horsemen, and just have her powers amplified to where any mutant she imitates she takes on their powers as well.

The character has total control over the molecules of his body, enabling him to alter his form as it suits him,[69] such as allowing his body to become extremely malleable and flexible or change its size, enhance his physical abilities, transform his limbs into weapons, wings, or jets, regenerate from fatal injuries, adapt his body to apparently any disease or hostile environment, and give himself virtually any physical superhuman power.[70] The character is also able to project and absorb energy, and has displayed telepathy and telekinesis. Apocalypse is as well capable of technopathy, able to directly interface with the various technologies he has at his disposal. Thanks to the aid of his mutant abilities, special "regeneration" chambers,[71] and changing bodies, Apocalypse has made himself effectively immortal.[72] Aside from his superhuman powers, Apocalypse is extraordinarily intelligent,[73] a scientific genius with knowledge in various areas of science and technology including physics, engineering, genetics and biology, that is far more advanced than conventional science.[74] Apocalypse has knowledge of Celestial technology that he uses for his own applications, such as altering mutants or humans. Apocalypse is also a skilled demagogue and a master strategist.
how the frick does that make for an interesting villain? give him every single power and the only way he can be beaten is some fluke

I predict that Magneto will be both friend and foe to Xavier's team in the third act battle.

Yeah, Apocalypse is not an interesting villain, but I do like the Horsemen concept.

Because it's awesome.
Evil is never defeatable. It will always be here. He is the embodiment of evil. An immortal evil psychotic hell bent on destroying everything. Hence the name.
It's the perseverance of the heroes, the turning of the horseman, and the way they find to suppress him that makes it interesting.
Also, what main-stay comic book villain isn't basically immortal?

you have to understand that most posters grew up in the 80s/90s...X-Men were big then.
Mutant characters for the most part are defined by the fact they are a mutant and their powers.
Sinister was my favorite X-villain.

When he's written as a God playing chessmaster for events on Earth that interest him as an experiment, its almost always great.
Yes, when he's written as a boots-on-ground villain its rather silly.

That was them catching up to the present-day time, showing that the timeline from the first 3 movies has effectively been wiped out.
Everything that happened in First Class and in the 70s in DofP did happen. The new one is picking up in the 80s.

A little off topic but I wish we could have seen Wolverine against Omega Red before Jackman called it quits.
This movie should be interesting. I've always liked Apocalypse, but he is extremely powerful
