Crash
They tried so hard to force feed the premise of the movie that it became overbearing

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "A Man for All Seasons"... most people find it terribly boring.

I never saw it. I've probably seen slightly over half of all the Best Pictures.

The Silence of the Lambs (that movie didn't disturb or scare me at all)

Who said it was supposed to? It's a solid film.

Ooooh he's right behind her and he's about to touch her shoulder, and the big "reveal" of his junk. I was just like, "okay."

I watched in a class in high school. It is a great movie, but I could see how a general audience would consider it boring. A lot of character development, history, and a sort of dry realistic (in my mind at least) depiction of politics. I need to rewatch it. It's been years and years since I've seen it.

Birdman is making it's way up the list for me - the more I think about it, the more I hate it.

Why all the hate for Crash, I thought it was meh but not bad.

Crash beat out Copote which was worlds better IMO and I even liked Munich much better too. I thought Crash was a clusterfrick turd.

Slumdog is one of my favorite best pictures. I thought it was really well written and acted.

Silence of the Lambs never grabbed me. Always thought it was pretty "meh". Hannibal Lecter as this iconic criminal always made me laugh.

Ordinary People was bad. Overwrought middle class angst.

Looking back, the 80s was not great as far as Oscar winners for BP.
