I think Keanu in The Devil's Advocate wins this.

One of the worst casting decisions ever.
That movie is awesome otherwise.

Keanu's accent was terrible but I loved that movie regardless.

Kevin Costner in JFK.

Also, Cold Mountain is one of the worst movies I have ever seen (opening battle scene was pretty cool though).

You are all wrong. Julie Benz in Boondock Saints II makes the movie unwatchable all by herself. Most mentioned didn't actually ruin the movies.

Runner Up - Cameron Diaz in The Box.

Spacey in HoC. I think it was Vox who studied his accent and his choice of words with expert linguists and determined no one has talked like that since WWII.

Disagree. If my memory is correct, Spacey nailed it.

Keanu- devils advocate.

These two right here for me. Keanu I think is #1.

Not a southern accent, but so bad that it deserves an Honorable Mention.

ANY actor in a movie set in Louisiana. NONE of them can get it and there are about 6-8 different accents in our state.
