Will Will Smith ever return to his pre-2009 glory or is he done

Almost every movie he's done has been average or worse. Does he bounce back or is he done?

He needs to do a better job of picking roles. That would solve his problem overnight. He has signed up for a lot of shitty movies that he could have easily avoided.

I don't see where this is coming from, kid has been in 3 films in the past 8 years, 1 television show in the same time, and just a few songs to his credit.
You have to be seeking out Jaden Smith to feel he is being "shoved down your throat"
I don't think much of the kid either, but Honey Boo Boo was forced on people more than this kid.

I think he made a "turned down the role of Neo" type of mistake by choosing to be in Suicide Squad instead of Independence Day 2.
ID2 probably would've been a big bounce back for him. From what I hear the movie needed him. I don't see Suicide Squad doing making him Mr. Blockbuster again like ID2 could've.

I completely disagree. ID2 looks like shite. He did good steering clear of it. He needs to find a role where he can flex his chops a bit.

I don't think he's done. I just think his pain in the arse family makes him into a pain in the arse as well. Not exactly his fault. I'm sure he'll be really really good in Suicide Squad.

He regrets not taking that huge paycheck ID2 was offering. The movie would have done nothing for career otherwise.
