Ratings were not good or weren't making money on it. Same reasons any show gets canned.

I'm also on season 2 and think it's really good. Although, the fact that neither of us watched it when it aired didn't help.

I know it just ended a few years ago but it feels like if it were on now it'd last longer. The streaming options and OTT it would be more valuable to be part of someone's library.

Shows with mixed couples don't last. That's my theory.

The Jefferson lasted 11 years in a time when that shite was a HUGE no no.

There is a season three too.

And it was cancelled because none of you folks were watching when it aired.

Because it's made for people in their late twenties to mid thirties and that's a very small network TV audience. It wasn't cool enough for teens and was too cool for most people over 40. I loved it. Is it on Hulu? Time for a rewatch.

Better than New Girl and I watched every episode of HE when they aired.

Certainly better than Two Broke Girls and yet it's still going strong.

Didn't get picked up by ABC and then they were in talks with Hulu, but didn't get pricepoint they were looking for.
Happy Endings is a pretty niche show that the 18-25 age group that originally missed it are falling in love now...too late.

I remember watching the last episode of season 3 live and just being so mad that it wouldn't be back on.

In season 4 of New Girl, there are many references, including Nick pretending to be gay. He says "we've never seen this type of gay man on tv" with a nod to Brad's former show and other references throughout. The whole way he was acting was a direct homage to Max's "gay" and Dave pretending to be gay multiple times.

This is one I missed out on because I had no idea what it was. I remember seeing what I thought was the first episode, but turns out it was the first of season two. I remember liking it, but being mad that I missed S1 and didn't know what was going on or who these characters were.

I have since gone back and watched all three seasons, and I loved the show.

And I like New Girl a lot, but HE is much, much better. It's not close IMO.
