It was a bad show...took less than 5 minutes of the pilot to know that.

Is the undercutting to make you change your name? Have you received a cease and desist letter yet?

2 Broke Girls was the worst sitcom I've ever seen. The fact that it lasted this long is a testament to just how awful and stale CBS's programming is.

The show and writing was cringeworthy. It was constant dumb sex jokes and double entendres. It ran its course and I’m shocked it lasted as long as it did.

Had nothing to do with politics.

By the way, most of Hollywood may be liberal but they most care about making money and if that means putting conservative shows on tv, you better believe they will put it out there. But they aren’t going to put out fake conservative bs like Fox News.

I don't think there was any real love for 2BGs on this board. But I took it for what it was. An old style sitcom with a little edge.

I think a better question is how it was renewed in the first place.
No political agenda. It was just a bad show with bad jokes and bad acting geared for the >100 IQ demographic.

I didn't mind it, but it wasn't good. What it had was a great set of tits and some great legs to look at. Without those two, it wouldn't have lasted too long.

There were 2 reasons 2 Broke Girls was cancelled in my opinion:

1. Bad Acting
2. Bad Writing

I was never able to make it through an entire episode with the sound up...that being said...there are two
big reasons it made it this long:

While I don't think there was a conspiracy to kill the show, I think 2 Broke girls was a perfectly good sitcom. It wasn't groundbreaking or anything, but its nice sometime to come home, turn on the TV, and have a sitcom simply be a joke delivery machine without needing layers of backstory and careful attention to catch the hundreds of references.

This was a show about a fundamentals. It was well-written in the sense that it was a constant array of setup/punchline. It had a central relationship that worked and carried the show. You could drop in on any episode at any moment and know what was going on. It wasn't high art by any means, but it was capable product.

I also wouldn't be shocked if several people who worked on this show went on to do great things. This was the sort of show where people could learn their craft and then maybe do something more interesting later on, but at least have a foundation on how TV shows work. Sort of how Deep Space 9 gave us the BSG reboot.

I won't say I'll miss the show. I didn't even know it had been cancelled. But I do think a lot of more widely praised shows could learn something from 2 Broke Girls and its desire to entertain its audience. I am getting tired of sitcoms that are too cool to tell jokes.

I've caught a number of episodes on long-haul flights. I always appreciate sitcoms, and their ability to provide entertainment value even if you're binge watching "Season 5, episodes 5-10" while trying to relax on a 12 hour flight.

As for the show, I thought the writing was fine but the execution and production was terrible.

I don't know why Jennifer Coolidge's character got the piped in cheer-track every time she walked into a room half-way through the plot (similar to the Al Bundy entrance, but at least usually in MWC that kicked off the plot for the episode).

Also the characters never seem like they're talking to each other, it felt like they were just delivering lines with way too many laugh-track pauses.

I just enjoyed seeing Garrett Morris getting paid.
