Why Hasn't Disney Made a Roger Rabbit Type Film with its Catalog of Cartoons

Unlike with Roger Rabbit, they own all of the rights to the classic characters. It would be cool to see Mickey mingle with Aladdin, Baloo, Simba, etc in one film.

Some idiot on the Political Board suggested that a full length Micky Mouse film would easily out draw "the shite" Disney is doing today.

I wish Mickey wasn't so popular but if you have little kids you've probably watched way too much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and they just started Mickey and the Roadster Racers for slightly older kids.

The Mickey cartoons I watched as a kid were all 50+ years old. Kids today want to watch new stuff.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse used to be on my tv set 24/7 up until very recently. You must not have kids. And if you don't have kids, why would you feel the need to make a statement like that on a topic you are ignorant of?

Hi! You must be new to America. Did you come over undocumented or through the regular ole means? Either way, we're pretty fricking stupid here, so get used to it!

My nieces and nephews prefer watching the old Mickey Mouse cartoons on YouTube. There are hours of old Disney cartoons available on YouTube

Give it time. It won't be long before Disney tries to go the Kingdom Hearts route on the big screen and try to cram as much Disney property as they can into one franchise. Star Wars, Marvel, Muppets, original Disney characters, you name it.

They have to actually release Kingdom Hearts 3 first and complete the story.

To put it into perspective, Kingdom Hearts 2 came out in 2006.

seriously??

Mickey Mouse club is huge for young kids. I would say 99.9% of American kids aged 2+ could name Mickey mouse.

It's Looney toons that are being forgotten.
Disney keeps their stars going.
